Drinking intoxicating drinks, will any of the Muslims ....

An excerpt from my posting at tmnet.communities

Rkaru said it right,
Muslim MUST never to be associated in any way with any activities associated with drinking 'intoxicating' drinks. While drinking them is DEFINITELY a non-starter, other than not allowed to work in brewery (which produces this intoxicating drinks, even the act of delivering them to people who drinks them is also prohibited. Muslims who observe the real teaching of Islam will not even think twice in working as waiter/waitresses in establishment that requires them to serve intoxicating drinks, which includes serving them on aircrafts on duty as flights attendants .

Revenue from the sale or taxation of these intoxicating drinks are also not permissible to be used by Muslims.

WHY
the sudden CHANGE from alcohol to 'intoxicating' drinks in this post?

I am of the believe that alcohol is only prohibited to be drunk by muslim but it is okay to use it in other forms, such as for degreasing (isoprophyl alcohol), agents in perfumes, etc. Alcohol is not 'najis' (filthy).

Have not found anything to indicate otherwise, but I am open to any 'enlightenment', especially
to any of the more informed individuals such as The Dude who studied at Sekolah Agama, and matured Rkaru (I presumed all these on this last paragraph).

FAQ : Why is the consumption of alcohol prohibited in Islam?
Any intoxicant is 'kamr' and all 'kamr' is Haram (prohibited)
